Russia is one of Serbia's most important strategic partners and Belgrade is thankful to Moscow for its support in international organisations on the issue of Kosovo, Dacic said.
If there was not for Russia, Serbia would have been in a much worse situation on the issue of Kosovo, Dacic said.
We plan to develop bilateral relations further and we are preparing to sign several bilateral agreements and memoranda, he said.
Lavrov said that Moscow and Belgrade are successfully developing political, economic, military and technical cooperation.
We appreciate the political dialogue, he said, recalling the visit of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Moscow in October 2015 and of President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic in March this year.
Lavrov also said that the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev was invited to visit Serbia.
He also pointed to the intense activity of the Intergovernmental Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation between Serbia and the Russian Federation, noting that military and technical cooperation is developing.
Cooperation within the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries was discussed as well as on issues of Europe, the Balkans and the international environment, he said.
He also said that Russia will help Serbia deal with the migrant crisis, he also said after the meeting, noting that the Russian-Serbian humanitarian centre in Nis has provided temporary accommodation for migrants.
