Strengthening cooperation with Spain in mutual interest

Belgrade, 16 March 2016

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Serbia Miguel Fuertes Suarez to discuss current issues in the field of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Dacic and Suarez expressed their mutual interest in strengthening economic cooperation and expressed their readiness to jointly celebrate the upcoming anniversary of the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic missions of Serbia in Madrid, through official visits of the two sides.

Special attention was given to support that Spain continuously provides to Serbia in international forums related to strategic foreign policy priorities of our country – preservation of territorial integrity and the process of European integration.
