Dacic said that Serbia, as a transit country, expects a Europe-wide solution, and will continue to provide the necessary assistance to refugees and migrants in the territory of Serbia.
The officials also said that finding durable solutions for refugees and IDPs in protracted displacement will not be put on the back burner and that Serbia and UNHCR will continue active cooperation on these issues.
Clements commended the Serbian government for its conduct in the crisis.
Dacic and Clements spoke in high terms about Serbia's long cooperation with UNHCR in resolving the issue of refugees from Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and a large number of internally displaced persons from Kosovo-Metohija.
