Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said today that 1,051 building permits were issued in Serbia in December 2015, which is by 56.4% more than in the same month in 2014.
At a meeting with a World Bank delegation, led by the head office in Serbia Tony Verheijen, Mihajlovic said that in the fourth quarter of last year, the number of issued building permits is highest in the past six years.
She explained that this is the result of a unified procedure for issuing building permits, which operates from 1 March 2015, and recalled that electronic publication of this document started on 1 Januar this year.
The system for electronic issuance of building permits is fully functional and we are satisfied with the initial results, said Mihajlovic.
She also presented the delegation of the World Bank the plans how to engage the Republic Geodetic Institute in full capacity.
Verheijen congratulated Mihajlovic on the results that have so far been achieved by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
