Investors from Asia-Pacific region welcome in Serbia

Belgrade, 19 February 2016

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with the diplomats of the Asia-Pacific region over a working lunch organised by Ambassador of India Narinder Chauhan.

In a meeting with the ambassadors of Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Republic of Korea, Myanmar and Pakistan and the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia, Dacic emphasised the importance Serbia attaches to cooperation with these countries.

He said that Serbia is interested in strengthening the political dialogue and improving the economic cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Last year, the volume of trade with the nine states amounted to $2.23 billion, and we believe there is room for further expansion, Dacic said and cited numerous benefits for investors.
