First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Serbia Myo Aye spoke today about the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, especially investment and military-economic cooperation.

Dacic expressed satisfaction with traditionally friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and thanked that country on its principled support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and on its position regarding the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
The two officials expressed interest in further intensification of political dialogue through exchange of visits at all levels and strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
The Ambassador of Myanmar said that he attaches great importance to the improvement of cooperation with Serbia and announced that during his term in office he will work with dedication so that friendly relations between the two countries could reach their highest level, reads a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
