Dacic said during the talks that bilateral relations between the two countries are good, that they are characterised by intensive cooperation in all fields, high-level dialogue and a constant upward trend.
He pointed out that the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the leading economic partners and investors in Serbia, as well as the largest bilateral donor of development aid.
Dacic expressed satisfaction with cooperation with Germany within the framework of the OSCE Troika, as well as readiness to continue cooperation during the German presidency of this organisation.
The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed the hope that the two countries will further enhance political dialogue and overall cooperation.
Michaelis underlined that Germany highly appreciates Serbia’s attitude towards migrants, noting that Serbia is a very important partner when it comes to the stability of the region.
He recalled that stability and cooperation of the countries of the region are one of the main goals of the initiative of German Chancellor Angela Market on starting the so-called Berlin Process.
Michaelis stated that Germany will continue to provide strong support to Serbia’s membership in the EU.
