Relations with United States significantly improved

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and outgoing US Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby expressed satisfaction today with the level of cooperation between the two countries, which has been significantly improved in recent years.

Dacic thanked Kirby for contributing to the promotion of bilateral relations, which during his tenure in Serbia reached a very high level.
He expressed special gratitude for US support to Serbia's European path, as one of its main foreign policy goals, for support to the Brussels dialogue and for recognising our country as a factor of stability in the Western Balkan region.
Kirby noted that during his diplomatic service in Belgrade, there was a significant development of bilateral relations, as well as the establishment of regular dialogue at a high level.
He expressed the hope and the firm belief that this positive trend of cooperation will continue in the future, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
