Partnership with UNICEF in care of migrants

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Yoka Brandt, who is paying a three-day visit to our country.

The meeting focused on the current refugee-migrant crisis, especially the position of the most vulnerable ones - children and mothers with babies, and the manner in which UNICEF in cooperation with the Serbian government and partner agencies of the United Nations contributes to the improvement of their situation on the ground.
Brandt commended the exceptional efforts made by the government of the Republic of Serbia in resolving the current crisis.
It is estimated that the long-term cooperation of Serbia with UNICEF, which dates from 1947, is very successful and that it will further improve, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
