First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak assessed in today's meeting that bilateral relations between the two countries are traditionally good and friendly.
They highlighted the common interest for further deepening and strengthening of relations in all areas.
Dacic used the opportunity to thank Lajcak for the continued support of the Slovak Republic to European integration of the Republic of Serbia and especially for the principled support of Slovakia to territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
He pointed out that Serbia appreciates fact that the Slovak Republic voted against the admission of the so-called Kosovo at the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris.
The two sides exchanged opinions in connection with the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels and the situation in the region and also discussed the current migrant crisis.
Lajcak conveyed the readiness of the Slovak Republic to continue to further develop intensive communication and cooperation in all fields with the Republic of Serbia, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
