Speaking at a New Year’s reception at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the heads of diplomatic missions and international organisations, as well as for directors and editors-in-chief of media outlets, Dacic singled out as the success of Serbian diplomacy the blocking of the adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN Security Council and the preventing of Kosovo’s admission to UNESCO.
Dacic underlined that Serbia proved to be an impartial and objective OSCE chair country, and managed to keep all channels of communication open, which was not at all easy in circumstances marked by the Ukrainian crisis which deepened the already existing crisis of confidence on the international stage.
The Minister recalled that during the OSCE Ministerial Council, Belgrade was the diplomatic capital of the world and the place of not only a ceremonial meeting, but also of concrete and constructive talks on topics of global importance.
The indicator of our strong commitment and strengthened international position is the fact that during 2015, only one state has recognised the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo - Antigua and Barbuda, Dacic said.

He reiterated that regional cooperation, strengthening relations with neighbours and the continuation of the policy of reconciliation are foreign policy priorities of Serbia at the regional level, which together contribute significantly to the strategic foreign policy priority of Serbia - EU membership.
As the most important regional cooperation initiative focused on European integration, the Minister singled out the "Berlin process" which represents a political framework for targeted support to Western Balkan countries on their path towards the EU through very concrete projects and activities.
Serbia will take over a six-month presidency of the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) on 1 July 2016. During the presidency, we will place special emphasis on the further improvement of economic cooperation in the region, Dacic underlined.
