First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who is also OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, spoke today over the phone with Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki about the latest developments in Kumanovo.
According to a statement by the OSCE, Dacic condemned the violence in the harshest terms and announced that his Special Representative for Western Balkans Ambassador Gerard Studman will visit Skopje next week together with Head of the Working Group on the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship Ambassador Dejan Sahovic.
We strive for a better, more developed society, which we build long-term, through daily work on reforms, and all this is put to danger by any kind of violence, Dacic underlined.
The two officials agreed that stability in the Republic of Macedonia is of vital importance for the stability of the region, and that everyone should do their utmost to prevent the escalation of violence.
