Mihajlovic said that this bank is interested in building a high-speed rail line from Belgrade to Budapest, noting that for our country it is very important that this bank sees this rail line as a regional project, and as a corridor linking southern and central Europe.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that with the construction of this rail line, our country would have an opportunity to place goods on the European market, noting that the China Development Bank is one of the world's largest banks.
This bank is very interested in working on the existing and new projects in Serbia, including investments in ports.
Mihajlovic pointed out that it is good that Chinese partners are interested in ports and water transport, since this mode of transport is not well developed in our country due to the lack of modern technology, the application of which could increase revenues in this sector.
Mihajlovic recalled that Serbia is already implementing projects in cooperation with China, including the bridge over the Danube river, between Zemun and Borca, as well as part of the motorway from Belgrade to the Montenegrin border, from Obrenovac to Ub and from Lajkovac to Ljig.
In addition, negotiations are underway with two Chinese companies about the possibility of construction of Corridor 11 with concessions.
The participants in the meeting also discussed the economic situation and macroeconomic stability of Serbia, and the delegation from China visited during the day the Institute of Transportation CIP, works on the Zemun-Borca Bridge and Jugoslovensko Recno Brodarstvo a.d. Beograd (Yugoslav River Shipping).
