Agreement on cooperation with Azerbaijan in defence signed

Minister of Defence Nebojsa Rodic and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan Lieutenant General Zakir Hasanov today signed the Agreement on cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan in the field of defence.

After the signing, the two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the good relations between the two countries, which will be improved further.
Rodic said that the signed agreement creates a legal framework for the further improvement of the two countries’ military-economic, military-educational and military-medical cooperation.
According to Rodic, the visit and the signing of the agreement are result of development of good and friendly relations, especially after the adoption of the Declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries, that President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed in Baku in February last year.
Hasanov said that the military cooperation between the two countries is very important and that thanks to the signed agreement it will be further improved.
