Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Jovan Krkobabic and the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed in the talks on Friday that any move should be encouraged which contributes to the creation of an environment favourable for new employments.
Krkobabic informed the IMF delegation that the draft labour law has been prepared and expressed the expectation that other partners would invest maximum efforts in the necessary adjustments so as to reach an acceptable version of the law, noting that this task should be completed by the end of the year.
In the talks on the problems concerning the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO), the officials discussed potential improvements in further functioning of the system.
Krkobabic presented the effects of PIO reforms from 2011 and the savings which produced results so far.
Head of the IMF delegation Zuzana Murgasova expressed the satisfaction with the readiness to conduct a dialogue, and thanked the Serbian officials for the detailed presentation of the moves concerning reforms in the sectors, the release said.
