Speaking at a press conference, held on the occasion of one year of the Ministry’s work, Mihajlovic said that the energy facilities in question are Novi Sad power and hearting plant, Stavalj power plant, Despotovac power plant, Bistrica hydroelectric power station and Djerdap 3 hydroelectric power station.
She explained that according to the plan, contracts for Novi Sad power and heating plant and pre-contracts for Stavalj and Despotovac power plants should be signed by 1 November this year, and the pre-contract for Bistrica and Djerdap hydroelectric power stations by 31 December.
Through the realisation of these projects, Serbia would get 2,200 MW of new capacities and investments worth €2.5 billion, Mihajlovic underlined.
She added that the deadlines for the completion of the reform of public companies will be set, and the estimates are that the recent and planned projects of the Ministry bring savings worth millions of euros and investments worth billions of euros.
Mihajlovic pointed out that the adoption of amendments to five systemic laws in the field of environmental protection is in plan.
These are the Law on protection of nature, Law on environmental protection, Law on waste management, Law on chemicals and the Law on biocidal products.
