In a statement to Television B92 last night, Dacic reiterated that one of priorities of the government is to reach progress in European integration process and to secure the holding of the first intergovernmental conference of Serbia and the EU no later than January which will be, according to him, closely related to dialogue with Pristina and the holding of local elections.
The Prime Minister recalled that the whole government of Serbia supported the reaching of an agreement with Pristina, the continuation of dialogue with interim institutions of government in Pristina and that it called on Serbs to go to the polls with an independent list of candidates.
However, Pristina insists that all ballot papers should carry the name “the Republic of Kosovo”, the Prime Minister explained and reiterated that that is unacceptable for Serbia and is contrary to the agreement reached in Brussels which is status-neutral.
