Mrkic and Makey agreed at a joint press conference that there is room for improvement of economic cooperation between Serbia and Belarus.
Mrkic underlined that our country respects the fact that Belarus supports its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and recalled that Belarus does not recognise the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.
Makey stated that Belarus sees Serbia as a strategic partner in the Balkans and added that further cooperation between the two countries was discussed at the meeting.
He highlighted the importance of moving from the phase of trade exchange to the level of joint ventures, which would mean creating new jobs and encouragement of the economy for Serbia.
