Dacic told today's edition of the daily newspaper Blic that by reaching an agreement with Pristina Serbia did not recognise Kosovo's unilaterally proclaimed independence, and that the date is not a reward for the agreement reached between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels.
At no point did any of us did agree to the conditions that are not a sufficient guarantee. Even when we refused the agreement the date was not our primary goal, nor is that the case now that the agreement is initialled, but now it contains what the Serbian side requested, he explained.
According to him, the negotiations on Kosovo will continue, and we achieved a few successful things. For the first time we got a guarantee that no future Kosovo army can set foot in the north of Kosovo, the police and the judiciary will be composed of Serbs and the Serbian side will nominate three candidates for the regional police commander.
This is the first time that the international community was on our side and this should open up a new era in relations between Serbia towards the West, Dacic concluded.
