Deneuve spoke to the audience, which completely filled the large cinema, mostly about her latest film “Changing Times”.
According to her, this film, which was included last week in the competitive portion of the Berlin film festival, poses the question, ‘can first love also be the last’? She expressed hope that the film would meet the expectations of the Belgrade audience.
The FEST audience was also welcomed by Serbian actor Svetozar Cvetkovic, whose film “Waking from the Dead”, directed by Milos Radivojevic, will be also shown.
Announcing the French film, he underlined that it was symbolic in a way as France is the birthplace of film.
The official opening included a laser show with music from Kubrick’s famous film “2001: A Space Odyssey”, and a collage of inserts from films shown in previous years at the festival. A total of 72 films from 33 countries will be screened at the Sava Centre, the Dvorana Kulturnog Centra and Dom Omladine as well as at the Film Archive Museum.
