Good chance for Serbia to get date for EU negotiations in June

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic said that Serbia has never been closer to getting a start date for negotiations to join the European Union.
Mrkic said in an interview with the daily newspaper "Vecernje Novosti" that in a number of meetings that he had with foreign officials he was assured that there will be no new conditions for Serbia on its path towards the European Union.
He said that in the coming months Serbia is about to prove that it has made significant progress in meeting the existing conditions – the fight against corruption and crime and resolving the issue of Kosovo-Metohija.
According to him, the international community has recognised our good will and policy of cooperation that we have been implementing daily.
