Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that after today’s meeting of Serbia’s state leadership with EU officials in Brussels, it will be clearer whether it is possible to find a solution for the Serbian community in Kosovo-Metohija.
Dacic said in an interview with the daily newspaper "Vecernje Novosti" that Serbia cannot accept anything that does not provide the functioning and survival of the Serbian community in Kosovo.
He noted that the provisional institutions of government in Pristina have rejected Serbia’s proposal for a community of Serbian municipalities, adding that Belgrade will not accept anything below that.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia will not abandon its policy and a compromise solution that it is offering for the sake of getting a date for the start of negotiations to join the EU.
