The numerous audience greeted with a strong applause the famous actor, whose movie “Along the Roadside”, which is directed by Zoran Lisinac and produced by Vladimir Lisinac, will be screened at Dom Omladine.
I want to thank organisers of the festival for inviting me to your beautiful city. I want to thank Zoran and Vlada Lisinac for inviting me to be part of their great film. I wish you all happiness and peace, and officially declare this festival wide open, Madsen said.
Programme manager Ivana Gajica previously reminded the audience of the premature departure of two important figures of the cultural life of Belgrade and Serbia, which incorporated a good part of their careers in the FEST - journalist, editor, and former Secretary of Culture of the City of Belgrade Tanja Petrovic and director and former president of the FEST Council Dinko Tucakovic.
We are dedicating this FEST to them, Gajica said and called on the audience to pay them the last farewell with the applause.
The main programme started with screening of the winner of the Palme d'Or in Cannes - the movie "Love" by Michael Haneke.
By 3 March, 75 movies from around the world will be screened in several halls and in different programme cycles.
The festival will be closed by the premiere of “Forger” by director and screenwriter Goran Markovic.
