The official website of the government of Serbia brings excerpts from the interview.
On a recent visit to France:
After the talks with French officials, we can conclude that they support Serbia's European path and full integration of the Western Balkans. They recognise and welcome the reforms carried out by the Serbian government in the past half year. They expressed the expectation that we will continue to make progress in dialogue with Pristina, as well as in the implementation of internal reforms.
The conditions for obtaining a date for starting accession talks with the EU in June:
The conclusions of the European Council in December last year stated what needs to be done in order to get a date for starting negotiations. There are no new or secret conditions. There is good will and there are results of the Serbian government, because this time we went straight from the words and promises into action. We have implemented all agreements reached. We worked hard from the very beginning, we set out from the inherited position, which was not very easy, on the contrary.
The upcoming visit to Germany:
The talks in Berlin with Angela Merkel's cabinet members and MPs of the Bundestag are very important and will not be easy or simple. What is certain, after these talks some things will be clearer. First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and I want to present the results that this government has made in the process of European integration, but also internal reforms, the fight against organised crime and corruption. What is essential and what we will particularly emphasise to our German partners is the fact that Serbia is a reliable partner who can be trusted that they can cooperate with for mutual benefit.
Is the elimination of parallel structures in northern Kosovo condition for the date?
The question of Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo will be discussed as part of the next round of political dialogue. Serbian institutions are the only institutions in the north. Their elimination would not contribute to the preservation of stability in northern Kosovo. Undoubtedly, in dialogue we will seek a mutually acceptable solution.
