Police confiscate 51 kilograms of heroin

Head of the Public Security Service of the Serbian Ministry of Interior Miroslav Milosevic said today that police confiscated 51 kilograms of heroin at the Batrovci border crossing.

At the border with Croatia, police found 102 packages, each containing 500 grams of heroin, in a Peugeot Boxer van.
The head of the Public Security Service said that members of the Criminal Police Department and the Department for the Fight Against Organised Crime are also included in the investigation with the aim of discovering where the drugs came from on route to Serbia.
Milosevic said that this confiscation is a major achievement of the police in the past few months and specified that the street value of the confiscated heroin is €1.5 million.
