Remains of King Peter II transferred to Serbia

Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic attended today the welcoming of remains of King Peter II Karadjordjevic at the Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.

The welcoming of the remains that were transferred to Belgrade from the United States was attended by Karadjordjevic family members, member of the Committee for transfer of mortal remains of the Royal family and advisor to the Serbian President Oliver Antic, and representatives of the Serbian Army.
The coffin with the remains of King Peter II will be temporarily stored in the Chapel of Saint Andrew the First-Called at the Royal Complex at Dedinje, where Serbian Patriarch Irinej served the liturgy today.
The date of the burial in the Royal Mausoleum in the family crypt in Oplenac will be determined in consultation with the Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, the Serbian government and other royal houses.
