46th Bitef Festival starts

The 46th Belgrade international theatre festival Bitef was officially opened last night in the Yugoslav Drama Theatre, at which 13 plays of domestic and foreign authors will be presented during 10 days.
The first in competition was Italian play "The Minister’s Black Veil" directed by Romeo Castelucci.
According to announcements by the festival’s artistic director and co-selector Jovan Cirilov, the festival will show plays of true values which feature main contemporary theatre trends.
Bitef’s programme includes plays from Italy, the United States, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, England, the Netherlands and four plays from Serbia.
"A trip to the truth " is the slogan of the 46th Bitef, which will last until 22 September.
