Swiss government donates 11.5 million dinars for reconstruction of police academy in Zemun

A new part of the police academy in Zemun has been opened today as part of the Police Education Day ceremony. The reconstruction project was funded by the Swiss government with an 11.5 million dinar donation.
The ceremony was attended by representative of the Swiss Directorate for Development and Cooperation Remo Gaucho, Norwegian Ambassador Hans Ola Ulstrad and Assistant Minister of Interior Suzana Suljajic.
Director of the school Bozidar Banovic said that modernisation of police education is the imperative of the time, conditioned by dynamic societal changes and stimuli of the Bologna Declaration. He also noted that it a serves the needs of the Serbian Interior Ministry in making efforts to become a true service for citizens.
