Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic expressed his desire today at a press conference prior to his trip to Athens that the conference “Initiative for Partnership of Serbia-Montenegro, Greece” will yield an intensifying of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Radomir Naumov said that over the next ten years it is possible for Serbia to develop a good partnership with Greek businesspeople in the energy sector.
The conference in Athens started today and will last until February 11. It is being organised by humanitarian organisation Lifeline Hellas, whose patron is Princess Katarina Karadjordjevic, and with the support of the Serbian and Greek governments.
Serbian President Boris Tadic is heading the Serbia-Montenegrin delegation in Athens. The delegation includes government officials, representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Privatisation Agency, Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), the Economics Institute as well as numerous members of the business community.
