Dacic told a press conference that the coordinated action of the police and the prosecutor’s office began in November last year and ended two days ago with the
seizure of drugs at Mirijevski bulevar street in Belgrade.
The police arrested Vladan Lazovic (54), Aleksandar Maksimovic (28), Luka Novak (26), Dragan Dzepina and Mira Damjanovic (24) and sent them to custody of up to 48 hours, after which they will be handed over to the investigating judge of a special department of the High Court in Belgrade.
During the search of the house in Mirijevski bulevar the police found approximately
270 kilograms of drugs ready for sale and about 200 kilograms of raw marijuana in the value of €1.5 million.
In addition to drugs, the police also confiscated nine guns, two hand grenades, one pack of plastic explosives, two silencers and €200,000.
The Minister said that this organised criminal group sold the prepared skunk in the countries of Western Europe, at the price of €5,000 to €7,000 per kilo.
This criminal group also made joints modelled after the
Cuban cigars, which were sold at a price of up to €5, depending on the size, Dacic said.
Dacic recalled that during the operation for combating drugs production and trafficking called “Morava”, the police issued more than 10,000 orders for detention and imprisonment.
As part of "Morava", officers of the Police Administration of Novi Pazar ordered the detention of up to 48 hours to Elvir Redzovic from this town who was suspected of illegal production and sale of drugs.
