Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic confirmed that the equipment for the introduction of electronic government (e-government) in Serbia has been aquired.

At a conference "Development of e-government in Serbia", he noted that the value of equipment is €2.5 million, adding that it was tested and installed.
He recalled that a series of measures have been taken for the introduction of e-government, which will increase efficiency in public administration and improve communication with citizens and businesses.
The conference is organised by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government with the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society and the EU Delegation to Serbia.
The €1.3 million project lasts 18 months and began in February 2011.
