In an interview for today’s edition of Vecernje Novosti daily, Cvetkovic announced that the government will continue to cooperate closely with the IMF.
The Prime Minister also announced a continuation of the fight against economic crisis, increased diplomatic struggle for EU candidacy and new measures to save Serbian companies and keep jobs.
He noted that the status of the current arrangement with the IMF remains the same, adding that the government will continue to implement all agreements, including the deficit level and the amount of public debt.
Speaking about Serbia’s EU integration, Cvetkovic stressed that Serbia should be granted candidate status, adding that it has achieved a great deal on this path.
The Prime Minister voiced his belief that as soon as the end of February Serbia will have a stable assessment of whether it will be granted candidate status or not, recalling that diplomatic activities which are yielding good results are under way.
