Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management Dusan Petrovic said that the government at its session today adopted a Decree on the exchange of mineral fertilizers for mercantile wheat and corn from 2011 and mercantile wheat from 2012 in order to increase agricultural production and food security.

Petrovic told a news conference that the regulation applies to 11,190,900 kilograms of fertilizers, and each farmer can exchange up to 200 kilograms per hectare planted with wheat in the 2011autumn sowing.
Director of the Office of Media Relations Milivoje Mihajlovic said that at its meeting today the government adopted a set of bills on education, including primary, secondary and higher education.
Mihajlovic said that the government adopted the Bill on amendments to the Law on capital market, which specifies legal provisions relating to the Central Registry and the Commission for the Securities.
The cabinet also adopted the Bill ratifying the Contract of guarantee for small hydro power plants between Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
He said that the government adopted the Bill ratifying the Agreement between the EU and Serbia on security procedures for the exchange and protection of classified information and ratification of the Agreement between Serbia and Turkey on mutual protection of classified information and material exchanged in the framework of cooperation in the field of military industry.
The Director of the Office of Media Relations announced that the government appointed historian and translator Dejan Ristic as acting director of the National Library of Serbia.
