Sutanovac said in an interview to Tanjug news agency that the procurement for 2012 will include new trucks and uniforms.
He said that a modern Jeep will be developed with the factory "Zastava Trucks" that will be used by the Army and possibly by the police.
The American jeeps will be deployed in a special unit of the Serbian Army, which will then be the best-equipped unit of its kind in Europe.
Sutanovac announced continued participation in peacekeeping missions in 2012, as well as presentation of the Serbian Army forces but also a demonstration of political will to participate in resolving problems in the world.
He stated that there is a possibility that members of the Serbian defence system, within five UN peacekeeping missions, are deployed in southern Sudan, and also announced the possibility of increasing the number of our members in missions in Cyprus and Lebanon.

The stand-by arrangement that Serbia signed with the UN on its involvement in peacekeeping missions allows the UN to assess what the priority is and where the Serbian participation would be most useful, he said.
We are also talking with the EU and if they have some priorities, we will certainly analyse that and join those operations, he said.
Sutanovac also expressed the hope that the base "Jug" near Bujanovac, where several international exercises were organised past year, will turn into a regional training centre for participation in peacekeeping missions.
When it comes to cooperation with members of KFOR in Kosovo-Metohija, Sutanovac said that it is at a high level, adding that KFOR is still a factor of stability in the province.
We expect that the crisis that began in late July to be finally over and that KFOR returns within those frames defined by Resolution 1244 and Kumanovo agreement, the Minister said.
