Fighting corruption in public companies

State Secretary of Justice Slobodan Homen announced today that over the next several months the fight against corruption in public companies will be intensified.

At a press conference following a meeting with representatives of the Independent Union of Serbian Metal Workers, Homen announced large campaigns that will show the state’s readiness to fight corruption.
Corruption is the greatest problem in terms of crime, he said, reiterating that the struggle against it is a state priority.
The State Secretary recalled that over the last several months three or four large corruption cases have been opened, related to the work of public companies.
It is obvious that in the past years public companies were a source of corruption and that there are still links between them and the current representatives of authority, Homen concluded.
