Slobodan Homen and Milivoje Mihajlovic
At a press conference following a government session Mihajlovic said that two documents required for the implementation of agreements between Belgrade and Pristina were adopted today, as well as an agreement on the freedom of movement.
The government adopted a Decree on the special manner of processing data in the land cadastre for Kosovo-Metohija and a Conclusion on the insurance of motor vehicles with licence plates issued by the interim institutions in Kosovo.
The Decree was passed in order to have a reliable cadastre register of real estate and the rights of citizens and other subjects for the duration of Resolution 1244.
Mihajlovic explained that the special manner of processing data implies scanning and photographing data, which will be done by the Serbian Geodesic Authority, which will in turn deliver the data to the Serbian team for talks with Pristina.
Serbian government public relations coordinator Slobodan Homen stated that the government called upon citizens in Kosovo-Metohija not to raise new road blocks in the north of the province.
Homen noted the necessity to respect Serbia’s interests, adding that those who decide to put up road blocks today will be obstructing state organs and working against Serbia’s state interests prior to the announcement of the decision on Serbia’s EU membership.
Mihajlovic added that at today’s session the government also passed a Bill on amendments to the Law on the tax procedure and tax administration which envisage the introduction of automatism, namely that employee contributions are paid simultaneously with their salaries, as well as a simplification of the procedure for reprogramming tax liabilities.
This way the tax administration will be allowed to disclose the list of debtors on its website, he explained.
The government adopted amendments to the Law on taxes on profits of legal persons, Mihajlovic said.
The government will soon propose the foundation of a new asylum centre and possible locations are being discussed, he added.
Mihajlovic observed that the government passed measures to resolve the problem of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers in Banja Koviljaca, adding that in line with the proposal, the Commissariat for Refugees and the Ministry of the Interior are to take measures to find permanent accommodation for asylum seekers.
The government has ordered stricter control at border crossings, especially those through which the largest number of asylum seekers has come, he concluded.
