Ciric, who is also a member of the jury for the competition, said at a press conference that for the fifth straight year, Blic daily and Banca Intesa are organising the competition to select the best entrepreneur in Serbia in the ranks of SMEs.
He noted that the award can be used solely to improve the current business operations or to invest in new projects.
The selection criteria will be company profitability, productivity and solvency, export results in 2011, export potential and the number of employees and newly-employed persons, as well as the assortment of new products, technological innovation, environmental protection and contribution to the local community, the Minister explained.
Of the total number of companies in Serbia 327,000 are SMEs and they hire 800,000 people, Ciric said, adding that next year the state will continue to encourage their development.
