Markovic opens “Days of Serbian culture in Timisoara”

Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic yesterday opened “Days of Serbian culture in Timisoara” which will last until 14 November.
Markovic stressed that Serbia is proud of its Romanian national minority, voicing his belief that everyone in Romania has reasons to be equally proud of their Serbian minority.
The Minister visited the Serbian House yesterday, expressing gratitude to Romania who financially endorsed the construction of the house.
The event started with the screening of the movie “Montevideo, Taste of a Dream” and in the following days various programmes about Serbian culture will be presented to the Romanian public.
The scientific symposium themed “State-building ideas of Djordje Brankovic, Sava Tekelija and Dositej Obradovic” will also be held.
