Vladimir Tasic wins NIN literary award

Chairman of the Belgrade weekly NIN’s literary jury, Petar Pijanovic, has announced that this year’s NIN Award will go Vladimir Tasic for his novel “Rain and Paper”.

Tasic’s novel, a story about a Novi Sad reunion of young emigrants and intellectuals, who have spent some 10 years out of Serbia.
Tasic was born in 1965 in Novi Sad. He has a PhD in mathematics and is a professor at the New Brunswick University in Canada. He has written two collections of stories and the novella “A Farewell Gift”.
