69 students to enroll in Department of Faculty of Economics in Bujanovac

Minister of Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic said today that a Department of Subotica Faculty of Economics will be opened tomorrow in Bujanovac.
Speaking at the press conference Markovic stated that 69 students will attend the classes in Serbian and Albanian, while all 69 students, 40 of Albanian and 29 of Serbian nationality, will be financed from the state budget.
The classes will be both in Serbian and Albanian, with five courses in Albanian and three in Serbian in freshman year, the Minister explained and added that the proportion will change from one year to another with one course in Albanian and the rest in Serbian language in the final year.
Markovic said that this represents one possible way to customise the classes in line with the Serbian education system for Albanian youth and recalled that Departments of Nis Faculty of Law and Economics already exist in Medvedja.
Serbia also finances education of the Albanians in the south of Serbia and in Novi Sad.
