Postage stamps dedicated to Ivo Andrić, Rachel de Queiroz published

The first time collaboration of Serbian and Brazilian public postal companies on the series of postage stamps was presented today at the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society stand at the 56th International Belgrade Book Fair.
Theme of the joint Serbia-Brazil edition of postage stamps is Literature, with one series of postage stamps dedicated to the 50 years jubilee of the Nobel Prize for Literature being awarded to Ivo Andric, and the other to the Brazilian author Rachel de Queiroz
Speaking at the ceremony Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic pointed out that the moral obligation of our society is to make Ivo Andrić more visible in the year of the jubilee, adding that the main goal of this publication is to remind people to read his works once again.
Markovic expressed his gratitude to our Brazilian partners whose country is one of the guests at this year’s Book Fair.
Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia Alexandre Addor Neto attended the ceremony.
