At a reception occasioned by the donation handover by EFT Group in the amount of €250,000, Ugricic said that the donated equipment is of the latest IT generation.

Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic recalled that the reconstruction of the NBS, which was funded by the Ministry of Culture, began in October 2007 and was finished on 24 May 2011.
This work has cost the country RSD 429 million, said Markovic noting that Serbia now has a reconstructed building of the NBS.
The library now also meets standards for users with special needs, he noted.
British Ambassador to Serbia Michael Davenport expressed his satisfaction that a British company that helped NBS.
The modernised oldest cultural institution in Serbia, founded in 1832, offers a central reading room with 280 seats and free internet access. With electronic and multimedia reading rooms, the library offers five million publications of all types.
