Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic, Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Director of the Serbian Archives Miroslav Perisic visited today the church tower of St. Mark Church in Belgrade which holds the archives of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).

The archival material, most of which originates from 1832, is of great importance to the cultural history of Serbia and SPC.
Protection, sorting, processing and availability of the material for researchers is one of the most important tasks of the Serbian Archives in the coming years.
The Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society has set aside RSD 1.9 million for the temporary relocation of archival material from the church.
