The agreement on donation, which will be used to replace the woodworks and reconstruct the plumbing, was signed by Japanese Ambassador to Belgrade Toshio Tsunozaki and school principal Dragana Milenkovic.
Fila said that students and the teaching staff at the school will have much better conditions after the renovation, stressing that Japan is the largest donor to the Serbian education system, having donated over €2.6 million to it since 1999.
Tsunozaki recalled that since 1999, Japan has approved over €200 million in assistance, announcing that despite the difficulties his country is faced with because of the devastating earthquake from several months ago, it will continue helping Serbia.
The Japanese government will continue its economic cooperation with Serbia, including assistance to local communities and institutions in meeting the basic human needs.
