Following the signing, the two ministers voiced their pleasure at the fact that their cooperation will be further improved thanks to the Memorandum.
Stankovic said that the Memorandum affirms mutual readiness to improve cooperation defined in the area of transplant suergy and other surgical disciplines.
Agreement has been reached to engage a certain number of experts from Serbia to help their colleagues from Republika Srpska, Stankovic observed.
We also agreed to conduct a certain number of surgical procedures in Serbia – at institutions and health institutions in Sremska Kamenica and Belgrade, Stankovic added.
Skrbic said that medical experts from Republika Srpska will come to Serbia for their specialisations.
He stressed that beside transplant surgery, cooperation in oncology is also important for Republika Srpska, as well as joint intentional activities.
Representatives of the health systems from the two countries will jointly participate at an international conference of the World Health Organisation in September, to be held in Azerbaijan, as well as at a ministerial conference in Banjaluka, Skrbic announced.
