Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic, German Ambassador to Serbia Wolfram Maas and Mayor of Zajecar Bosko Nicic presented the restored eastern gate of Felix Romuliana near Zajecar.

Markovic recalled that the project "Restoration and conservation of the eastern gate of archaeological site Romuliana" was financed by the German government, the Serbian Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society, the National Museum in Zajecar and the city of Zajecar noting that the total value of works is nearly RSD 13.8 million.
He thanked the German government on the donation of approximately RSD 9.8 million for the restoration of the eastern gate and reiterated that the preservation of cultural heritage is very important for every people and every country.
Maas announced that Germany will continue to financially support projects aimed at preservation of cultural heritage in Serbia.
This site has shown that our roots originate from the Greco-Roman heritage. We will never question the support to preserve this kind of cultural-historical treasure that reminds us of our common origin, said the German Ambassador.
He gave the Director of the National Museum in Zajecar Bora Dimitrijevic a book published by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the German Archaeological Institute showing the 12 most important cultural projects, including the Felix Romuliana.
