Assistant Minister of Religion and the Diaspora Vukman Krivokuca today announced that the 16th European festival of Serbian folk dances will be held on 11 and 12 June at the Sava Centre, under the auspices of the relevant Ministry and President Boris Tadic.

Krivokuca told a press conference that folklore ensembles from ten European countries will take part in the festival, adding that 2,500 participants from 51 ensembles are expected to compete, while nine will perform outside any categories.
The festival will officially open on 11 June at 14.00, while a parade of participants through the city will be held from 11.00 to 13.00.
