This year the Ministry set aside RSD 60 million for the monastery’s reconstruction, of which RSD 28.8 million is earmarked for the completion of rough construction works and the covering of the western wing of the Great Residence.
During 2011, the conservation and restoration works at Holy Trinity Church will be continued and the conservation, rehabilitation and restoration of the rood screen of Metropolitan Simeon from 1635 will be completed.
The restoration of the Great Residence includes a complete reconstruction of the parts that were destroyed by fire, with structural reinforcement and renewal of the preserved elements, so that the facility in its shape corresponds to the way it looked before the fire, but also to meet the current and lasting needs of the monastery with the functional revitalisation of space.
Most of rough construction works on the west wing of the building (towards the Dohija Residence) are completed, and they have been done in such a way as to make this part of the building functional and ready for use regardless of the state of the neighbouring building burned in the fire and the degree of fulfilment of works on the eastern wing.
