Sreckovic extends Pesach greetings to Jewish community

Minister of Religion and the Diaspora Srdjan Sreckovic extended Pesach greetings to the Jewish community in Serbia today.
In a letter addressed to Rabbi Isak Asiel and President of the Association of Jewish Communities in Serbia Aleksandar Necak, Sreckovic emphasized that the Pesach holiday signifies the eternal messages of freedom, justice and dignity.
The Serbian people hope that the Jewish community in Serbia will keep cherishing their identity and culture, the Minister noted. Jews throughout the world celebrate this eight-day holiday in remembrance of the ancient Israelites who were freed from slavery in Egypt.
