Nenad Vujic, Snezana Lakicevic and Goran Milosevic
Following the signing, Lakicevic stressed that the goal of their cooperation is the introduction of a special course in the curricula of both academies in order to boost the capacity for creating public policies in the fight against sexual and gender-based violence.
She said that courses on gender equality and gender-based violence were included in the 2011 programme for training civil servants on 20 January.
Future cooperation, which will include the Serbian government’s Human Resource Management Service, will imply implementation of training programmes at academies so that students may acquire the necessary knowledge in this remit, the State Secretary said.
A total of 15 seminars for judges, prosecutors and employees at the Judicial Academy and the Criminal Police Academy will be organised by 31 December.
The project is funded by the Norwegian government and implemented by the Gender Equality Administration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, with the support of the UN Development Programme.
